Save Our Souls

A moment of reckoning
Has come
A darkness
Covers the landscape
People choose to cower
Behind closed doors

Flames burn fiercely
The symbols of faith
We were told 
Would protect us
Will not save our souls
This moment 
Of darkness
Cannot last
These furnaces
These hellscapes
Will cease

Until then
We must continue
To shine a beacon
Through the
Smoke filled skies
Retain balance
During chaos
Trust that Justice
Will return
Striding boldly
Over barren wastelands
The sword of truth
In one hand
Swaying scales
In the other

Shield your hearts
From hatred
Ground yourselves
In love
Flood your auras
With healing light
And together
We will illuminate
A new dawn
